REDWOOD CITY, CA - February 7, 2006 - Intalio, The Open Source BPMS Company, today announced the embedding of the Orbeon PresentationServer (OPS) into Intalio|BPMS. This partnership makes Intalio|BPMS the first BPM suite to provide a Web 2.0 user interface for supporting human workflow.
"Continuing on its mission to set the standard for BPMS and lead the BPM 2.0 movement, Intalio is aggressively extending its BPM suite with standards-based technologies that help process analysts design and deploy the most complex business processes — without having to write code," said Ismael Ghalimi, founder and CEO of Intalio. "The Orbeon PresentationServer is industry-proven, and is certainly one of the best forms solutions around. We are thrilled to make it part of Intalio's platform today."
The Orbeon PresentationServer is the first AJAX implementation of the XForms 1.0 W3C standard. It allows organizations to develop Web-based forms that support rich interactions with end users, while remaining compatible with the most popular Web browsers.
Orbeon PresentationServer, which is distributed under an open source license, has been embedded into the Workflow component of Intalio|BPMS 4.0 and is available today through an Early Adopter Program. It can be deployed in a standalone manner or on top of existing enterprise portals, such as WebLogic Portal from BEA (NASDAQ: BEAS), WebSphere Portal from IBM (NYSE: IBM), and NetWeaver Portal from SAP AG (NYSE: SAP).
Additionally, Orbeon is partnering with Intalio for the development of advanced tools for workflow applications, including a WYSIWYG form designer to be made available for the Eclipse platform. This tool will be integrated into the Intalio|Designer environment and released to early adopters in the second quarter of '06.
"Intalio's commitment to open source and industry standards such as XForms is allowing us to complement PresentationServer with a zero-code business process solution, which has been requested by many of our existing customers," said Alessandro Vernet, Founder and CTO of Orbeon. "We are pleased to join the consortium of best-of-breed vendors like Celequest that are teaming up with Intalio to deliver the most open BPM solution available on the market today."
